From His humble manger birth to the wilderness temptations, He identified with our humanness, our struggles and our weaknesses. As the Bible says, “We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all — all but the sin” (Hebrews 4:15, The Message).

A New Pope for a New World
The pope has changed in Rome and not a moment too soon; for the world has changed, as well. Pope Francis’ first act after being introduced to masses that welcomed him was to kneel and to humbly request their prayers. Such humility is a soothing, if not shocking, sight in the actions of any leader today.
